2021年9月8日，美国国际贸易委员会（ITC）投票决定对特定视频安全设备和系统、相关软件和组件以及下游产品（Certain Video Security Equipment and Systems, Related Software, Components Thereof, and Products Containing the Same）启动337调查（调查编码：337-TA-1281）。

2021年8月9日，美国Motorola Solutions, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois、加拿大Avigilon Corporation of Canada、加拿大Avigilon Fortress Corporation of Canada、加拿大Avigilon Patent Holding 1 Corporation of Canada、加拿大Avigilon Technologies Corporation of Canada向美国ITC提出337立案调查申请，主张对美出口、在美进口和在美销售的该产品侵犯了其专利权（美国注册专利号7,868,912、10,726,312 、8,508,607），请求美国ITC发布有限排除令、禁止令。

美国Verkada Inc. of San Mateo, CA为列名被告。
